About the Role :
As a Software Engineer at Red Hat, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining Python-based applications that integrate cutting-edge AI and LLM-powered solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative applications that enhance the customer experience. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy debugging, optimizing, and experimenting with new AI advancements.
Key Responsibilities :
✔️Develop and maintain Python-based applications, integrating LLMs and AI-powered solutions.
✔️Work closely with product managers, software engineers, and data teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
✔️Assist in the development, testing, and optimization of AI-driven features.
Optimize application performance and scalability when utilizing LLMs.
✔️Debug and resolve Python application errors to ensure system stability.
✔️Conduct exploratory data analysis and data cleaning for AI model preparation.
✔️Maintain and optimize data storage and retrieval systems for AI models.
✔️Stay updated with the latest advancements in LLMs and AI technologies to improve applications.
✔️Document workflows, model architectures, and code for team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Experience :
To be successful in this role, you should have:
✔️A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
✔️2+ years of experience in Python development with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
✔️Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and implementation workflows.
✔️Experience in LLM fine-tuning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and prompt engineering.
✔️Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps practices for AI/ML lifecycle management.
✔️Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
✔️Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure (a plus).
✔️Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, ChromaDB) is a plus.
